Addiction & Recovery
As a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, I am passionate about the addiction and recovery communities. I believe in meeting clients where they are at in their relationship with substances and use a harm-reduction approach. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in a Person Centered approach, I can help you overcome the barriers to recovery and create a personalized plan for your relapse prevention.
I have worked in the field of addictions since the very start of my career, and have had the opportunity to provide counseling in a variety of diverse settings. This unique experience has set me apart from other therapists as I have seen the impact of addiction firsthand and fully understand the need for skilled and compassionate care in the community. While I am well-versed in 12-Step Fellowships, I know that recovery is not one-size-fits-all, and am able to provide alternative tools for your individualized recovery plan. If you are a person in recovery looking for a therapist who understands your past, and provides care without judgment, Rebel Healer is the place for you.
For Families
As an experienced LCADC, I understand that addiction is a family disease and impacts each member of the family differently. If you have a loved one struggling with addiction or grew up in a household where addiction loomed, I provide compassionate care that understands codependency and the emotional weight of caring for an addict. I help family members of individuals with addictions work through resentment and forgiveness, set and maintain healthy boundaries, process the trauma of an addictive household, and increase self-care for their own well-being.
For the Sober-Curious
If you are interested in exploring moderation or are sober-curious, I support and embrace that goal! I have extensive experience working with individuals evaluating their relationship with alcohol or marijuana, and provide nonjudgmental therapy for those looking to moderate or “try out” sobriety in their own time.
